The Racer Carbon Special Edition takes the Bont boot that owned roller speed world championships in the late ’80s and early ’90s and rebuilds it with a 100% carbon fibre base and heat-mouldable resin. You get the classic Racer shape with a lot less weight and a lot more stiffness than the originals.
The outer skin is Japanese Durolite — lighter and tougher than traditional leather, and vegan-friendly. Inside, a suede-like liner, memory foam padding and a ventilated tongue with Velcro keep the boot locked in without lace bite. Stretch-resistant waxed laces finish the job.
A narrower heel than a standard last gives a secure, near-custom hold. Heat-mould the EVA innersole and carbon base and it gets even closer.
This is a serious quad speed boot for skaters who want championship pedigree with current carbon tech — not a fashion skate with a race name on it.

We ship using Australia Post and Couriers Please. All shipping costs have been wavered for items send via standard freight option, if you would like your order to be shipped via Express Post, please add your products to the cart and proceed to the shipping section of the checkout process and select Express Post option. You will receive a quote based on you orders size and postal address.
Most order will be shipped by Australia Post. Couriers Please will require a signature on delivery (or an Authority to Leave) so they can not deliver to a PO Box or Parcel Locker.
Delivery signature: Please note that Couriers Please require a signature on delivery so please use a shipping address where someone will be able to receive your parcel during business hours. If a signature cannot be obtained, a delivery notice will be left by the courier advising when the next delivery will be attempted. If a signature cannot be obtained on the second delivery attempt the item will be returned to Bayside Blades. Parcels shipped with Australia Post will be left at your local Post Office for pickup no one is available to receive it.
If you Live in Melbourne and would like to pick your order up from our store in Braeside (4/200-208 Boundary Rd, Braeside VIC 3195), please wait until you receive a confirmation your order is ready for collection, before heading to the shop to collect it.
It is not always possible for us to keep every product on hand at the shop, so there may be a short delay before your goods are available for collection. We will notify you once your order is ready to be picked up.
While we try to keep as many products in our store as possible, we only have limited room for stock. We offer some products as "online-only", which means we don't stock them in our physical store and have them stored off-site at our warehouse.
If you opt for "in-store pick up" for your web order, please be aware there may be a short delay while we arrange to have the stock sent to our retail store from the warehouse.
