There's a lot going on in Derby Land! Here's some of the highlights for July...
JULY 7th - VRDL presents: smALL Stars & Old Stars
To kick off Victorian Roller League's weekend of 10th anniversary celebrations we showcase our stars of the future alongside our stars of the past with two full length bouts.
First up at 5pm our VRDL smALL Stars, fresh off their victory at Junior Nationals, take on the might of Lil Adelaide Rollers - the longest runnning junior team in the country. These kids are focussed, fierced and ready to impress!
At 7pm some of our treasured members from years gone by dust off their skates and take to the track again together with up and comers from our Development Squad in a classic Blue v White match up. Just who might you see on skates again? You'll have to come along to find out!

JULY 8th - Statewide Stampede Roller Derby Tournament (Round 6)
Round 6 of this State Wide Derby Tournament sees 8 teams battling it out, to get closer to becoming the overall tournament Champions! A great event for players, family, and spectators.
"Our hosts for July are East Vic Roller Derby who are having a great season! This central round is sure to draw a great turn out, and after another awesome round hosted by Mildura Roller Derby League in May, and a well-earned derby break and June, our fantastic Stampede community is pumped and raring to go!"

JULY 8th - VRDL presents their huge GALA BOUT
It's also a huge day of Derby in Darebin, where Team New Zealand are among the teams bouting with the VRDL to celebrate their 10 years of Derby! Here's what you can expect...
At 10am, the Notorious VIC's will face off against the South Sea Sirens! It's been a while since the last time these teams have met on the track. The VICs have been training super hard, but who will be victorious this time?
Then at 12pm, the Queen Bee's and VMRD Vangaurd have been resting up since their big adventures to the Big O! the Bee's are keen to keep the trail of victory buzzing, will the Vangaurd be able to defeat them?
Then to finish it all off, the All Stars will be taking on Aotearoa Roller Derby (Team NZ)! The All Stars have been resting up and training hard after their trip to the Big O, will they be able to defeat Aotearoa? Or will Aotearoa come out on top!?
There's only one way to find out how these DIAMOND games will play out, AND THAT'S TO BE THERE!

JULY 9th - VRDL Gala Boot Camp
Join us in celebrating VRDL's 10th anniversary with boot camps for all ages! Our All Stars, Quees Bees & experienced Officials Crew can't wait to share with you just some of what we have learned during our time in the sport over a full day of skating and scrimmages.
ADULTS
10am - 4pm
Full contact/WFTDA Min Skills cleared skaters aged 16+
Includes 3 skills sessions & scrimmage

JUNIORS
12pm - 2pm
Non-contact (ie. positional blocking only/Level 1-2) skaters aged 7-17
Includes 2 skill sessions
Cost $40
12pm - 3pm
Contact (Level 2-3+) skaters aged 7-17
Includes 2 skills sessions & low contact scrimmage. Jams will alternate by age group if participant numbers allow
