The shell and cuff is made of composite material, which is reinforced with 15% fibreglass to make the shell strong and stiff. The base of the mounting blocks are big and wide to provide a large contact area between the frame and boot.
This skate is equipped with the MY FIT “Fat Boy” liner which is fully lasted. This liner is a real masterpiece created by Sergio Mc Cargo, the No.1 shoemaker in the inline skating world. It wraps around your foot like a sock. The liner can be heat moulded at around 80° C in an oven or with a strong hair dryer in order to customise the fitting. It's unique 3 layer padding consists of heat mouldable, EVA, and additional 3-D foam in the ankle area for a perfect ankle and heel lock to increase support during every stride. Soft sponge foam is under the liner for extra comfort and support. On the outside, the padding is kept in shape with a special heat mouldable thermo sheet. The liner is light and also features a dual density innersole and a carrying strap.
The one piece Urban 6063 aircraft aluminium frame with 3-D structure provides stiffness and reactivity. The centre wheel acts like a turning point makes the skate very agile - just perfect to cruise around the city. The Urban frame comes with a 165mm mounting standard. The combination of the lateral slot in the frame and the perpendicular slot in our boots is called the X-Slot Mounting. This system enables you to adjust the boot-frame setup according to your skating style.
The 125mm wheels are MD Super High Rebound wheels. The pleasurethane PU compound gives a super fast roll, good grip and long lifetime. The 7-spoke hub is very strong and durable. The wheels come in a 85A hardness which is a great mix of speed, grip and shock absorption.
The ABEC 9 Freespin bearing contains 7 chrome steel bearings and a light weight but resistant nylon cage. One side is covered by a non contact rubber coated RZ shield. A synthetic oil from Japan is used for this high end bearing.
The MegaCruiser has taken inline skating to a new level.
