How Bayside Blades Came about;
The idea for the shop came as we pondered our future after Neil accepted a redundancy package in November 2002 and ended 16 years with a motorcycle accessories company. Only weeks before Andrea had arrived home frustrated with the situation where she currently worked, as an inline skate instructor, and exclaimed “the only way I will be able to do this the way I would like is to do it ourselves"

While considering a possible move into self employment as part of our future, I remembered Andrea’s earlier comment, and “we decided to combine our enjoyment of skating with the business skills we had acquired in our previous positions and Bayside Blades was born. 

After just 3 years in our Hampton location we had well and truly out grown that shop and we moved to our current location in Highett Rd, Highett.

Our experience covers aggressive, speed, Slalom, hockey and recreational skating, most of us have been skating for 10 years or more and still get out on our skate regularly.

Knowledge; Bayside Blades is committed to the sport of inline skating, if you're in Melbourne, chances are you'll see a member of our staff out skating at a skate park or skate rink on a regular basis. If you compete you'll know, or have seen, one of the Bayside Blades team competing around the country. We don't just sell skates for a job, we know inline skating, we test our products regularly and listen to the feedback that our team members and customers give us.

Pricing; At Bayside Blades we are committed to being price competitive, we always advertise our pricing, sell at or below recommended retail price and offer additional value when possible. Our members receive 10% discount on purchases, we offer a free skate lesson with all skates sold in our store and offer free freight for all online orders over $298.00.

After sales service; We are always willing to listen and are prepared to do what ever it takes to ensure you get the best from your product choice. We guaranty our fit, warranty whatever we sell and conduct regular skating activities through our membership program, to help you obtain the most from your skates.
